We welcome children from birth through to 12 years old. Our Baby Bees room caters for babies from birth to 1 year and we have tailored rooms for each developmental stage right up to our After School for 5 to 12 year olds.

We offer Full Day sessions (7:30am to 6:00pm), Morning sessions (7:30am to 1:00pm) and Afternoon sessions (1:00pm to 6:00pm) across our nursery rooms. Our After School provides Breakfast Club (7:30am to 9:00am), After School (3:00pm to 6:00pm) and Holiday Club (7:30am to 6:00pm).

Yes. We offer flexible childcare and understand that families have varying needs week to week. You can combine full days, morning and afternoon sessions across different days. Speak to our team about your preferred pattern and we will find the best arrangement.

We ask for a minimum of one month's written notice for any permanent changes to your contracted sessions. For occasional ad-hoc changes, please speak to our management team and we will do our best to accommodate where places are available.

Yes. Our Holiday Club runs during all Scottish school holidays for children aged 5 to 12 years, from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Activities are planned and varied to keep children engaged and active throughout the break.

Yes. We have our own resident chef on site who prepares fresh, nutritious, homemade meals and snacks daily. A full cooked lunch and two snacks are included as part of your child's day. Our menus rotate seasonally to offer variety and balance.

Absolutely. We take allergies and dietary requirements very seriously. Please inform us of any requirements at the point of registration and we will ensure our chef is fully briefed. All our menus are reviewed with a focus on common allergens.

No. All meals, morning snacks and afternoon snacks are included in your fees. There is no need to send packed lunches. If your child has specific preferences or dietary requirements, our team will work with you to ensure they are well catered for.

Yes. All meals are freshly prepared on site every day by our resident chef. We do not use ready meals or pre-packaged food. We are proud of the quality and variety of food we provide and believe good nutrition is a key part of your child's development.

Staff provide daily feedback on your child's meals and care routine at pick-up. You can also view updates through your child's online journal, where staff log meals, activities and key moments throughout the day.

We follow the Scottish Government's Curriculum for Excellence and the Early Years Framework (EYFE). Our approach is play-based and child-led, focused on developing confidence, curiosity, creativity and communication from a very early age.

Each child has an online learning journal that is updated regularly by their key worker with observations, photos and milestone achievements. Parents are given access to their child's journal and are encouraged to contribute comments and updates from home.

Yes. Outdoor learning is a core part of our provision. We have several safe, spacious outdoor play areas with a wide range of exciting resources, as well as our extensive Forestry area where children engage in nature-based learning activities.

Our ratios comply with and often exceed Scottish Care Inspectorate requirements. Baby Bees (0 to 1) is 1:3, Bumble Bees (2 to 3) is 1:5 and Busy Bees (3 to 5) is 1:8. These ratios ensure every child receives attentive, individual care.

We are committed to inclusion and work closely with families and external agencies to support children with additional support needs. Our team receives ongoing training and we work in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council to access specialist support where required.

Yes. We are registered with North Lanarkshire Council and offer funded childcare places for eligible children aged 2 to 5 years. Currently eligible children can receive up to 1,140 hours of funded early learning and childcare per year.

We require one full calendar month's written notice to terminate your child's place. This notice must be provided to nursery management in writing. Fees remain payable during the notice period regardless of attendance.

If your child becomes unwell during the day, we will contact you or your emergency contact immediately. We ask that children who are unwell. Particularly with vomiting, diarrhoea or a high temperature. Are kept at home for at least 48 hours after symptoms resolve.

We can administer prescribed medication with prior written consent from a parent or guardian. Our team follows a strict medication policy and maintains detailed records of all medication given. Over-the-counter medication can only be administered in specific circumstances.

Auchinbee Children's Nursery is regulated and inspected by the Care Inspectorate, Scotland's independent scrutiny body. We are also registered with North Lanarkshire Council. Our inspection reports are available on the Care Inspectorate website.

The safety of every child is our absolute priority. Our premises operate a strict entry system and only authorised adults on the child's registration form are permitted to collect children. CCTV is in operation across the site and all staff hold valid PVG disclosures.

Any accident or incident involving a child is recorded in our accident book and parents are informed on the same day, either at collection or by phone. For anything requiring medical attention, emergency services will be contacted immediately and parents notified at once.
